Strawberry Blonde – Stuttgart Teen and Tween Photographer
I have a theory that if I let my kids do what they want with their hair when they are young, that it might deter them from rebelling when they are older. I like to play with my hair color, so why wouldn’t they? I try to say to yes as much as I can when Ava asks me to dye her ends pink or in this case, all over peachy, strawberry blonde. Hair color is so easy these days, and this washes out in a few washes.
It is amazing how a little wash of strawberry blonde can make her look so different. She looked so pretty and there is a gorgeous white flowering bush near our house. Obviously, I needed to take her outside and take some pictures. It was a match made in heaven. I love this age. She’s 12. And so much more confident than I ever was (and still am tbh) at her age. I hope that she keeps this inner confidence and that it serves her well for the rest of her life.
She knows what she likes and what she is about. She stands up for herself and her friends and I am so proud of some of the choices that she has made already. She works really hard and is an excellent student. She is really creative and getting really good at the ukelele and guitar. She is also an excellent mimic. She got that hilarious gift from her dad. She can imitate just about anyone.
The strawberry blonde is almost gone, so now we are figuring which color to do next. I’m thinking a pastel blue or cotton candy pink. I’m jealous, my hair is so dark that I can’t do any of the fun temporary colors.
