Monday Coffee Date – Bree Hester Stuttgart Family Photography. A trip to the South of France. Monaco and Cannes. Fleur de sel, Marche de Forville, and the search for the perfect carry on bag.
TYPING FROM // The Côte d’Azur Airport in Nice, France.
I’m waiting for my flight home as I type this today. My friend and I met up in Monaco over the weekend and had such a chill and relaxing weekend. It was so nice to get away and have some adult conversation. Trips like these are always so good for me. I love being away almost as much as I love heading home. I miss my family but am grateful that I can do trips like these. We stayed in Monaco and took a little side trip to Cannes. It’s a an hour train ride from Monaco and well worth the visit. I joke (but it isn’t really a joke at all) that I could live my best life in France.
We went to the Marché de Forville and it made me really want to rent a place for the summer to cook to my heart’s content. The produce, the cheeses, the olives, all of it was incredible. I wish that I could have brought some home. We live so close to France that I am going to have to start coming to the markets to shop every now and again. I can live my best life right where I live, so why don’t I?
WATCHING // The reboot of Queer Eye is so good. Far better than the original, make sure to have some tissues, I’ve yet to watch an episode without some tears.
SMELLING // I love this candle and splurged and stocked up. Very few things make me happier than a candle.
NEEDING // A better laptop/carry on bag. My bag game needs some work. I love my Away bag, but I need something to carry my laptop and some of the extra stuff. I like this one, but don’t think that it is big enough.
LEARNING // I think that I am going to register for this class. I love anything involving a pen.
STOCKED UP ON //Fleur de Sel. French sea salt is a kitchen must have. I like to use this salt to finish. A few flakes over a salad is incredible.
I love the water so much. I had forgotten how much I miss the smell of the ocean. We slept with our door wide open so that we could smell and hear it. That’s what happens when you grow up on the beach I guess.
