Monday Coffee Date – Bree Hester Stuttgart Photographer – A Royal Wedding, scones, sangria, and chocolate chip cupcakes.
Was there a wedding this weekend? Ha!
I have always been a HUGE fan of all things royal. I am dating myself here, but I remember being a little girl and watching Charles and Diana get married with my mom and grandmother. I watched William and Kate get married with my own children. We pulled an all-nighter and watched the entire day of coverage in the middle of the night in California.
Yesterday, I watched Harry and Meghan all day. For once, we live in a great time zone for a live event. (Notsomuch during football season.) I watched wedding coverage for 10 hours and I loved every second of it.
I assumed that my family would be home to celebrate with me, but soccer and parties meant an empty house for most of the day to watch the festivities. It was heavenly. I got to watch it in peace and quiet.
You might think that it is weird to make a spread for yourself, but I enjoy the making it almost more than I like eating it. And the kids and Wes ate it when they got home.
Also, the roses came from a bush right outside my door. There must be something in the soil here, the flowers are extraordinary.
The wedding was beautiful and I love how Harry and Meghan put their own spin on tradition and embraced who they are. It was refreshing to see some life and love in the monarchy.
I also loved that she also married a pilot.
SIPPING //White Sangria with Mango and Berries. I normally don’t like sangria because it is too sweet, this one is not sweet, just refreshing and light. I see this being my summer beverage of choice.

Ah, Bree. I was 12 when Elizabeth and Phillip were married. I kept a scrapbook of everything pertaining to the wedding. I’ve been an Anglophile for a very long time. I get up st 3 or 4 4 to watch it all. Weddings, funerals, babies. I’ve watched every royal show tons of times. Everyone thinks I’m nuts.

Your words and pictures of tantalizing food and flowers light my heart!
I do miss all the wedding getting ready for and the actual day of the wedding. What a fantastic life event for both Harry and Meghan!
