Monday Coffee Date – Bree Hester Stuttgart Family Photography – A busy week, Mother’s Day weekend, Dunkin Donuts, and failed time lapses.
It was a very busy week. We had something every day, doesn’t it seem like certain weeks are like that? Every appointment, event, lunch is in the same week? Needless to say, we were ready for the weekend.
Despite the craziness, we had a great week. A was interviewed for a Stuttgart blog (I will share the interview when it is live.) We went to a really cute coffee shop that I have been meaning to get to. I don’t know why I don’t do that more during the week. It was a nice break from being in my home office.
I bought a new lens and had a good time getting to know it. I’ve been wanting a longer lens for ages, especially for the kid’s sports, but it is really beautiful for portraits and the compression makes the depth of field so blurry and buttery. I love it.
I took it out to the vineyards across the street from my house to get a timelapse of the sunset over Fest (it was a fail) but Ava and I had a nice time sitting in the grapes watching the world go by.
That was a trial run for the fireworks over Fest on the last night, but that was also a fail because it was rained out. There is always next year.
Baby grapes!
I looked up and saw a wookie in the freezer. What were the chances that my camera was sitting on the table next to me?
Yesterday was Mother’s Day and my family treated me to a very nice day. I’ve been wanting to drink my coffee and read out on our little porch so they bought me a little patio set.
We went to the garden center and walked around for a long time. There was so much to look at. Germans really take their flowers and gardening seriously.
It was very nice to sit outside yesterday and get the fresh air. It poured all afternoon, so it was short lived.
We also had a trip to Ramstein this week and I brought the kids home some Dunky. It’s the little things that you really miss from home. They were so happy. I was really happy with a Diet Coke with a lot of ice and refills.
We went to downtown to my favorite Thai restaurant. There was some grumbling from the crew about my dinner choice, but they all loved it and have decided that it was a Top 5 best dinner they’ve ever had.
See the cute shot I got of all three of my babies? Well, I had a lot of outtakes. There were a lot of “hater hiders” yesterday.
OBSESSING //The Royal Wedding is this weekend!! I am a HUGE royal fan and I finally live in the right time zone to watch allll of the coverage. I remember watching Charles and Diana with my mom and grandmother, and the kids and I watched William and Kate. I can’t wait to do it again.
BAKING //Scones to eat while watching the wedding. This is a no-brainer.
