There was a Change of Command at Air Station Cape Cod (not Wes’s, he was just an attendee) last weekend and it was one of the rare occasions that his whites come out of the closet. This is probably my favorite uniform, and the one that he wears the least, so it is always a treat to see him in it. It’s funny though, he has worn formal uniforms more in the last two years than all of his years since he left the Academy. I think that means that we are getting old.
Really. Old.
Also, I have give him a lot of credit, he can still fit into a uniform that he has had since he was 20. I can’t even get my leg into a pair of pants that I had in college.
The colors on the ribbons and all of the gold are so striking against the white. When he got home from the ceremony I asked him to give me a few minutes so I could capture some of the details.
