Tuesday Coffee Date – Girls Trip to London – A trip to The Making of Harry Potter, a Muggle Tour, The Crown Jewels, Borough Market, Covent Garden.
Ava and I got home late Sunday night after a girls trip to London. London is one of my favorite cities and I have spent a large chunk of my life wishing that I were British. We had such a good time. Not only in my favorite city, but with my favorite girl.
Ava and I are big Harry Potter fans and we did the Warner Brothers Studio Tour. It was incredible and magical (no pun intended) and we absolutely loved every second. I am in awe of the talent of the artists that made those books come to life. You get to see all of the costumes and sets, and there really is nothing off limits. If you are ever able to take this tour, do it. You will not be disappointed. And while you are there, make sure to get a butterbeer ice cream.
We spent a lot of time walking (we averaged over 15,000 steps a day) and covered a lot of ground. And still didn’t get to see everything that we wanted to. That just means we need to go again.
Borough Market was near our hotel and I could walk around there for hours. I had no idea how many years there has been a market there. 1,000 years! (And also the location of the Leaky Cauldron is very close. See if you can spot it if you are wandering around.)
Covent Garden is great for shopping and lots of places to eat. Also, lots of street musicians and buskers.
Want to really freak yourself out? Walk across the glass floor over the Tower Bridge.
CRAVING // Cupcakes from Crumbs & Doilies. You know how cupcakes usually look good, but when you bite into one, they are disappointing? Not these.
DRINKING // The Colaba Colada from Dishoom. I could eat at Dishoom every day. I love Indian food and this the place to get it.
