The forecast was not looking good, 100% rain during ceremony time. The bride was not even phased. Bethany was just so happy to be marrying Fabricio that thunderstorms and dark skies were not going to take away a second of their happiness. She was relaxed and not even concerned about it. All she cared about was marrying Fabricio.
The outdoor ceremony was moved to the dance floor and the staff at the Coonamessett moved pots from all over to create an altar of flowers. Fabricio and Bethany were married in a garden just like they had planned.
Surrounded by family and friends, they became a family. It was beautiful to watch. The love that they have for each other, and Naomi, was apparent to everyone in the room. The rain poured down during the ceremony. You could hear the raindrops hitting the roof and it made it even more romantic.
In honor of Fabricio’s heritage they had a traditional Brazilian Churrasco a Rodizio, with gauchos serving dinner. Great music and a dance off had everyone at the reception on the dance floor. The cake was cut and then the sun came out just in time to take portraits outside. It was a perfect day.
Getting dressed in a greenhouse makes for perfect light to get ready in.
Naomi’s dress is what little girl’s dreams are made of. Perfect for twirling.
The groom looking so handsome and relaxed.
Naomi was the cutest. She said, “Mom, we are getting married today!” These beautiful ladies are ready to walk down the aisle. Gorgeous and rustic touches made the space romantic and the twinkle lights made you feel like you were under the stars.
Naomi walked her mom down the aisle to meet Bethany’s father who took her the rest of the way there. The ceremony was in English and Portuguese and was translated for the guests. Before the rings were exchanged, Fab gave a necklace to Naomi and promised to love her and her mom. I may have had a hard time seeing through my viewfinder, the tears were flowing.
A selfie station was set up for guests to take a picture and write a message for the new Mr. and Mrs. The children were fascinated by the magic that is a Polaroid. They were so cute watching it come to life.
Bethany’s brother gave the blessing and this moment is one of my favorites of the day. We got a break in the rain and the sky began to clear so went out to take some portraits. One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is seeing the bride and groom wearing brand new wedding bands. These two are so in love. Look at how they look at each other. I’m so happy for them.
Lots of toasts. Lots of dancing. Lots of KISSING.
Serious dance moves. Another break in the rain and we went back out for some more pictures. B + F were troopers, they were such good sports.
A sparkler send-off. These two ended a perfect day with light and love.
Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day. It was an honor and privilege to watch you begin your lives together.
Many thanks to the people that made this event come to life.
