One of the blessings of being a photographer is that you are part of some of the most important days in someone’s life. Bringing their baby home, adoptions, engagements, first steps, weddings, just to name a few. Some of the defining moments of a life. I get to be a part of it, I get to watch it all unfold and witness all of the beautiful moments. It never, ever gets old.
I was asked to come to photograph Anne and Philip’s Boston City Hall wedding. While all weddings are meaningful, this one felt different. It was just the three of us and it was special. It was just about them and they made their day however they wanted it to be. The bride was stunning and the groom handsome. The ceremony took place in the Office of the Justice of the Peace and while short, the words were beautiful. Vows, exchanging of rings, and a kiss to seal the new union.
Afterwards, we walked around City Hall and took some photos to celebrate their new life together. We got their pup (a very well-behaved pup might I add), and they had their first family portrait. It is was a joy to witness and I cannot thank Anne and Philip enough for letting me be a part of it.
Here’s to your happily ever after.
